WEskills Connection Specialist
Candy Eagen is one of the WEskills Connection Specialists at Workforce WindsorEssex.
Over the years, Candy has been fortunate to gain many skills through a variety of working experiences. She spent many years working at Chromeshield Plating Company before moving into her role as a Peer Helper/ Co-ordinator. She had the opportunity to work in this role for the CAW 195 Community Labour Adjustment Services and for Chromeshield’s Labour Adjustment Office. In this role she assisted workers who were displaced by plant closures and/or major layoffs. She also had the opportunity to publish a monthly newsletter that provided important information to help displaced workers as they sought out employment opportunities.
These work experiences prepared Candy for the work she does at Workforce WindsorEssex. You may see her each week as she collects resumes at the City of Windsor Employment & Training Services Resource office. She is responsible for entering information into the database, ensuring that it is kept up to date and conducting database searches.
On top of her WEskills work, Candy is also our Health & Safety Manager and our First Nations Metis and Inuit representative. She takes on many secretarial roles, including developing and updating our Community newsletter.
