WEskills Connection Manager
Darlene’s work experience has put her in a vast array of sectors including hospitality, manufacturing and non-profit. She’s is passionate about being a mom and helping others to achieve healthy and financial stability in their life. Darlene believes that knowledge and awareness is power and she seeks to help others to achieve their goals through support and providing information.
Darlene has many different roles at Workforce WindsorEssex. Foremost, she is our WEskills Connection Manager. She connects employers, training opportunities and job opportunities to the Job Developers from Ontario Works and Employment Ontario Service Providers.
Darlene also represents Workforce WindsorEssex on the Windsor Essex Employment Group (WEEG) , where she provides Labour Market information to agencies and organizations that work with persons with disabilities. The WEEG works to provide awareness to employers that hiring persons with disabilities is economically beneficial for them and our community.
Darlene also sits on the Retiree Volunteer Council, where she actively raises awareness on the benefits of volunteerism to pre and post retirees. Additionally, she is part of the St. Clair College advisory committee for Community Integration through Cooperative Education program.
