Katie has an educational background in international relations and development and was fortunate to complete numerous co-operative education terms and internships during her time at the University of Calgary that allowed her to strengthen her research skills in several government and non-profit settings, including Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada, the Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations, and the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters. She has a passion for producing data-driven solutions and is able to work with employers to do this in her current role at Workforce WindsorEssex.

In her role as Researcher – Quantitative LMI Specialist, Katie conducts research with local employers to gain insight into the local labour market including both challenges and successes experienced by local employers. Katie uses her research background to disseminate information from employer consultations to various stakeholders and the local community. She has a keen interest in labour issues and is happy to be able to apply her skills to contribute to the vitality of the WindsorEssex labour market.
