🌟 Check out the highlights from the Pelee Island Health Fair! 🌟

Hosted by Canadian Mental Health Association – Windsor, this event on June 22 was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share information, and learn about vital local resources in Windsor-Essex!

📍 Pelee Island, known for its unique charm and isolation, welcomed us for the third time at the Pelee Island Winery & Vineyards Inc Pavilion. Accessing the island is an adventure of its own, and we were thrilled to bring health and wellness resources directly to the community of Temporary Foreign Workers.

A special shoutout to the nurse providing services in Spanish at the island’s health center, ensuring everyone could access the care they need. South Essex Community Council – SECC and the TeaMWork Project distributed summer kits to 40 workers, and we had exciting raffles from Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers Inc. (OHCOW) and the Diocese of London, including a bike giveaway! TeaMWork also gave away a speaker and provided print materials about workers’ rights.

📚 During our presentation, we showcased the services available through the TeaMWork Project, complete with our helpful maps.
